Charlotte Vincent is considered ‘one of the UK’s leading female choreographer/directors’ and ‘one of the most important feminist artists working in Britain today’ (The Observer). VDT is an international ensemble of multi-tasking collaborators who devise interdisciplinary performance to challenge conventional values in dance and gender politics BWC are thrilled to welcome them to International Women’s Day.

Drop into VINCENT DANCE THEATRE’s VIRGIN TERRITORY creative workspace any time between 10am and 5pm.

Take a moment to reflect and make something in response to how our highly digitized, porn-infused culture is affecting young people’s identities, personal choices and relationships.

VDT’s most recent piece of work VIRGIN TERRITORY has been exploring the challenges that young people face as they forge their own identities in an over-sexualised, image-complex world. The workspace is full of props and materials from the production, where you can respond to a series of provocative creative tasks, tell your own story and reflect on other’s experiences. You are invited to complete one or two of the tasks and join VDT’s social action campaign #VDTEverydayAction to help combat the pressures of digital culture.
